Smkvæmt fræðunum er þessi hópur sem leitaði í Byrgið að mínu mati hinn svokallaði identified patient, sá sem tekur á sig sjúkleg einkenni hópsins, hvort sem það er í fjölskyldusamhengi eða samfélagslegu samhengi.

If you get through the trailer you will notice that not only are the sex scenes very real looking, most of the women are killed shortly after forcibly performing sex acts. So, many young men are going to have their first (or already have, as this is not new content for GTA) sexual experiences via GTA and then they are going to kill the women they are sleeping with. The implications of that are mind-blowing. It is no question that GTA is merely reflective of the bigger misogyny embedded in capitalist patriarchy, but the question is why is a game that depicts such violence towards women so popular? How is that acceptable?

á gamla landinu góða

Er heima núna í nokkra daga og það er svo notalegt. Gott að fá frí frá Suðurríkjunum og koma hér og fá góðan mat og íslenskt viðmót.

Maður tekur strax eftir ýmsum atriðum hér sem hafa breyst eða eru öðruvísi en úti t.d. því hversu margir útlendingar eru hér komnir, og flottræfilshættinum á íslendingum, en þar sem ég bý nú í USA eru flestir fekar laid back og án allrar sýniþarfar eða metingsþarfar og er það ágætt. Hér er mikil samkeppnisandi um að lúkka vel á alla vegu(ég er nú ekki að segja að ég sé sjálf laus við það). 

Eins er birtan svo skerandi hér, sólarljósið er svo hvítt, en úti er það meira einsog gult. Ég var komin með höfuðverk hér í gær af sólinni sem skein inn en svo vill fólk aldrei draga fyrir, má ekki blokkera sólina...

Eins tekur maður eftir því hversu miklu alþjóðlegri við erum heldur en Bandaríkjamenn, hér eru fréttir allstaðar að úr heiminum og tónlist í útvarpinu allstaðar að, en í Ameríku þar sem ég er eru nær eingöngu amerískar fréttir, amerískir sjónvarpsþættir og bíómyndir.  Nánast einsog það séu samantekin ráð að sýna bara það sem amerískt er og restin af heiminum skiptir ekki máli. Enda vill loða við þá að þeir séu þröngsýnir.
