C.S.Lewis
"Though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not."
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
"God, who foresaw your tribulation, has specially armed you to go through it, not without pain but without stain"
"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."
"You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body."
"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world"
